As founder of The Loop Lab, a Massachusetts nonprofit preparing young people for careers in technology and media, I write in strong support of Senator Ed Markey’s reelection.

I have collaborated directly with Senator Markey and his office on the AI Civil Rights Act, legislation designed to protect people from discrimination when AI systems are used to make consequential decisions about employment, lending, housing, health care, and other areas of our lives.

This is not abstract to me. Through my work in workforce development and artificial intelligence, I see what is at stake as algorithms increasingly influence who gets hired, who gets a loan, and who gets access to opportunity, often before a human being ever reviews their application.

Senator Markey understood early that the rapid adoption of AI required guardrails that protect people, not just companies.

Massachusetts needs a senator who treats emerging technology as a civil rights issue, not just an innovation issue, and who has the experience and seniority to move that work through Congress.

I have built my career on the belief that technology should serve human dignity, not erode it. Senator Markey has been a genuine partner in that mission, and Massachusetts will be better served by six more years of his leadership.
